[Korea] Getbol, Korean Tidal Flats Become UNESCO Natural World Heritage for Biodiversity

Getbol, Korean tidal flats have been listed as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage. This was decided during the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee on July 26, as Korean tidal flats serve as an important and meaningful habitat that preserves biodiversity.

The natural heritage includes four regions: Seocheon Getbol, Gochang Getbol, Shinan Getbol and Boseong-Suncheon Getbol. Following this result, Korea now holds 15 World Heritages sites (13 cultural, 2 natural).
