The Korean government announced plans to create travel bubbles (travel safe zones) in July with countries successful in containing the coronavirus disease.
Travel bubbles will allow the resumption of travel for general tourism purposes by exempting travelers from quarantine between countries where mutual trust in quarantine has been secured.
Currently, travel bubbles with Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Guam, and Saipan are in discussion. Plans to resume travels will be determined after making the final decision and assessing the coronavirus situation.
However, in the beginning, only those who have completed their coronavirus vaccine may participate. Furthermore, the number of flights and the size of entry will be limited to a certain size agreed upon between countries.
