The European Christmas Market will take place December 7-8 this weekend at Seongbukcheon Fountain Square in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. The European Christmas Market is a festival that presents not only the culture of Christmas in Europe, but also food and fun.
This year, 14 countries including Germany, Bulgaria, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain will be sponsored by their corresponding European embassy. As a result, participants can expect to see a variety of traditional Christmas food and ornaments. Prices of food and products will vary by booth and visitors can receive a 500 won discount per menu by bringing a personal cup or plate.
There will be performances by bands playing jazz music, Christmas carols and European music, as well as a traditional German dance performance. Visitors can also enjoy taking photos at the European photo zone and with Santa Claus, or participate in a gingerbread house auction.
