Haeundae Sand Festival will be held May 24-27 in the areas of Haeundae Beach and Haeundae Plaza. Visitors to the festival can see sand sculptures from world famous sand artists as well as enjoy various programs and events.
With the theme “When Music meets Sand,” sand artists from eight different countries including U.S.A., Japan, China, Belgium, and Canada will make sand sculptures with a music theme. Music based on each sculpture will be played nearby for visitors to enjoy the sound and sight of the festival. Experience programs such as sand boarding, sand treasure hunt, building sand castles and more will provide additional fun.
Various programs such as the “Water Gun Survival” using eco-friendly bubbles, “Music is Life” street parade contest and more are also planned. After sundown, the festival becomes more remarkable. With different lights shining on the sculptures, festival-goers will be able to see the sculptures in a new angle, while various movies will be played on the white sand hill at “Sand Movie Theater.”
