Introduction of Chungcheongbuk-do

The uniquely landlocked Chungcheongbuk-do Province in the center of South Korea boasts remarkable natural landscapes, including Songnisan, Woraksan and Sobaeksan Mountains, Daecheongho and Chungjuho Lakes, as well as Gosu and Cheondong Caves. Nature can also be found at Danyang Aquaworld, a water park that uses mineral water drawn up from rock beds 750 meters below the ground. Finally, the world’s oldest extant movable metal print book called Jikji (UNESCO Memory of the World) can be found at the Early Printing Museum in Cheongju.
