▶ ASEAN-Korea Centre announced on the 9th that it will host ‘ASEAN-Korea Tourism Investment Seminar’ at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong on June 8th to recruit companies.
▶ At the opening ceremony of the seminar, Lee Hyeok, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, Datuk Rashidi Hasbullah, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia, and Aladdin D. Rillo, Deputy Secretary-General for ASEAN Economic Community, will present the opening remarks, congratulatory speech, and keynote speech, respectively.
▶ In the presentation session, government officials from tourism department and investment bureaus of 10 countries of ASEAN will introduce the current situations of tourism industry in each country along with an opportunities for investment. Moreover, Lim Seon-kyu, CEO of Daewoo Amara in Myanmar who has built a landmark hotel in Yangon, Myanmar, will share Korea’s investment strategies and success stories in foreign tourism industry.
▶ One-on-one business meeting can be arranged at the seminar with the relevant government officials and businessmen in tourism and investment of 10 ASEAN countries.
▶ ASEAN-Korea Centre explained, “This is the fist seminar on tourism investment held by a non-ASEAN country with the direct request from ASEAN to ASEAN-Korea Centre”.
