Two-day Tours in Chungcheongbuk-do Province

Located in the central region of the Korean Peninsula, Chungcheongbuk-do (also called ‘North Chungcheong Province’ or ‘Chungbuk’) is the only province in Korea not bordered by the sea. Known as the center of mountain tourism in Korea, this region is home to three national parks (spanning Sobaeksan, Woraksan, and Songnisan Mountains), Namhangang River, and Chungjuho and Daecheongho Lakes. In addition to its natural beauty (and varied outdoor activities), the area is home to many old temples like Beopjusa and Guinsa, which reflect the Buddhist roots of this important province. The province is also the final resting place of Jikji, the first book ever to be produced using metal-plate printing. It is the unique combination of historical landmarks and pristine natural beauty that makes Chungcheongbuk-do a region well worth visiting.
