In December, the weather starts to get colder and the year draws to a close, bringing with it the joys of the Christmas season. Though Christmas in Korea is more or less a holiday for couples, you’ll find pockets of extravagant decorations and sparkling lights all throughout the country. Department stores further add to the seasonal mix with their intricate displays lighting up the cold winter sky.
During the few short weeks before Christmas, one of the best ways to catch a glimpse of Korea’s festive holiday spirit is with a trip to one of Korea’s three major theme parks: Lotte World, Everland, or Seoul Land. These amusement parks start gearing themselves
up for Christmas festivities in early November and
present an array of
glittering decorations
and special Christmas events sure to
delight visitors of all ages.
