Feel the Excitement! KOREA IN MOTION (KOINMO)

The exciting KOINMO Festival in September showcases Korea's theatrical charms through some of its best performances! In its eighth year, KOINMO (Korea in Motion Festival) will be held for a month throughout major performance halls in downtown Seoul. KOINMO presents thirty or so of the best Korean performances, including the well-known non-verbal performances NANTA and JUMP, as well as musicals, theatrical plays, and traditional plays. All of the KOINMO performances are available at a 50% discount through “Rush Tickets” during the festival period. KOINMO Opening Ceremony with PR Ambassador MBLAQ

K Pop stars MBLAQ were appointed as PR Ambassadors for this year’s Korea in Motion Festival. The group has a large following worldwide because of their strong vocals and great dance moves. Their first official appearance for the festival will begin at 6 p.m. on August 31, 2013 during the festival’s opening ceremony on the outdoor stage at Cheonggye Square. At the opening ceremony, the group will hold a mini-concert for KOINMO fans. Admission to the opening ceremony is free but on a first-come, first-served basis. To participate, just send your name, nationality, and number of accompanying guests (excluding yourself) to KOINMO’s official e-mail ( by August 28. Those who are selected will receive a reply e-mail confirming their admission to the opening ceremony. At the venue, you must verify yourself by your name and e-mail. Admission to the opening ceremony may be restricted if you are not pre-registered.

Hot KOINMO Ticket Information

KOINMO Plus Ticket

Once you make a decision on which performance to attend, it is time to find the best tickets. This year, a very special offer is available! For just 20,000 won, the “KOINMO Plus Ticket” includes a ticket to a KOINMO performance and admission to the N Seoul Tower Observatory. KOINMO Plus Tickets can be purchased at any KOINMO designated accommodations. The KOINMO integrated ticket booth situated at the T2 Madang of the Korea Tourism Organization sells ten Plus Tickets on a first-come, first-served basis every day. The integrated ticket booth sells tickets for an hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. All performances can sell out early, so hurry if you want to book a performance! KOINMO Rush Ticket

There is still a chance to buy KOINMO tickets at great prices even if you were not able to get your hands on a Plus Ticket. During the KOINMO period, KOINMO rush tickets are available at a 50% discount. Rush tickets are available at the Korea Tourism Organization’s TIC at a 30% or 40% discount year round, but during the KOINMO period, they can be purchased at a 50% discount. Rush tickets can also be booked at the KOINMO integrated ticket booth situated at the T2 Madang of the Korea Tourism Organization. Various events and gifts await KOINMO Rush Ticket buyers at the integrated ticket booth, so make sure to check ahead of time what events are happening through the KOINMO website (

During the KOINMO Festival period, free performance showcases are organized, so come and attend these performances in Itaewon, Gangnam Station, Insa-dong, or Incheon International Airport.
