All about ‘KOREA IN MOTION (KOINMO)’

The exciting KOINMO Festival in September showcases Korea's theatrical charms through some of its best performances! In its ninth year, KOINMO (Korea in Motion Festival) will be held from September 15 to October 5, 2014 throughout major performance halls in downtown Seoul. KOINMO presents 35 of the best Korean performances, including the well-known non-verbal performances NANTA and JUMP, as well as musicals, theatrical plays, and traditional plays. All of the KOINMO performances are available at a 50% discount through “Rush Tickets” during the festival period. This includes 14 non-verbal performances, 10 theatrical plays, five musicals, three family plays, one gugak (traditional Korean music), one classical play, and one concert. KOINMO Ticket Booths

Ticket booths are available at seven locations frequented by tourists such as Mapo-gu, Gangnam-gu, and Jung-gu in Seoul. Tickets to KOINMO performances, as well as KOINMO Plus Tickets and Business-affiliated Plus Tickets can be purchased at these ticket booths.

KOINMO Ticket Information

1. KOINMO Plus Ticket


Plus TicketOnce you make a decision on which performance to attend, it is time to find the best tickets. This year, a very special offer is available! For just 20,000 won, the “KOINMO Plus Ticket” includes a ticket to a KOINMO non-verbal performance and admission to the N Seoul Tower Observatory. KOINMO Plus Tickets can be purchased from any KOINMO partner accommodations or from any of the seven KOINMO ticket booths. Performances can sell out early, so hurry if you want to book a performance! A list of accommodation facilities selling KOINMO plus tickets can be found on the KOINMO website.

2. KOINMO Rush Ticket

There is still a chance to buy KOINMO tickets at great prices even if you were not able to get your hands on a Plus Ticket. During the KOINMO period, Rush Tickets are available at a 50% discount. Rush tickets are available at the Korea Tourism Organization’s TIC at a 30% or 40% discount year round, but during the KOINMO period, they can be purchased at a 50% discount. Rush tickets can also be booked at the KOINMO integrated ticket booth situated at the T2 Madang of the Korea Tourism Organization. Various events and gifts await KOINMO Rush Ticket buyers at the integrated ticket booth, so make sure to check ahead of time what events are happening.

* Line 5: Gwanghwamun Station, Exit 5 / Go straight and take the road running parallel to the stream (Cheonggyecheon-ro). KTO will be on your left.

3. Special Event during Chuseok

Those purchasing tickets in advance from September 3 to 14, 2014 will get something extra. The first 100 people buying tickets online will get a coffee coupon, while the first 200 people buying their tickets from any of the seven ticket booths will get a free transportation card.

4. Business-affiliated Plus Tickets

With the Business-affiliated Plus Tickets, you get the KOINMO Plus Ticket (performance ticket + N Seoul Tower admission) plus additional benefits at saunas, restaurants, cafes, exhibitions and other tourist attractions. These tickets can be purchased at the five locations below.

Showcase

Showcases to celebrate KOINMO and the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon will be held at Myeongdong Theater and at the big stage in front of the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium from September 6 to October 2, 2014. The showcase takes place every day except Fridays at Myeongdong Theater and on September 20 and 24 at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.
