Traditional Cultural and Historic Sites

Visit one of the five ancient palaces and Jongmyo Shrine to learn about the palatial architecture from the Joseon Dynasty era, or visit the districts of Samcheong-dong, Bukchon Hanok Village and Insa-dong for a glimpse of Korean traditional living. Moreover, integrated tickets (10,000 won) admit visitors to the palaces anytime during the course of a month.

Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁)

Description: The first palace with a European-style garden and fountain

Gyeonghuigung Palace (경희궁)

Description: Used as a secondary palace from the 17th through the 19th centuries, the palace has restored buildings and art galleries, and is a great place for a walk

Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁)

Description: The first of five Seoul palaces to be built, and also the largest and most impressive in terms of architecture
