Daegu, Cheongdo, and Miryang in Gyeongsang-do Province
Daegu is a prime destination often overlooked by travelers. Situated in the southeast of Korea in Gyeongsang-do Province, it is a treasure trove of natural beauty. With the Baekdudaegan mountain range trailing to the west and the East Sea only a short drive away, Daegu is an area with a diverse topography and climate that provides numerous options for hikers, nature lovers, and independent travelers.

Daegu and its neighboring towns Cheongdo and Miryang, each have their own unique draws that make them a great choice for those looking for a travel route that’s off the beaten path. Daegu is a basin region surrounded by mountains and, come summer, is known as the hottest area in Korea. It’s also home to several major culture and arts festivals. Nearby Daegu are Cheongdo (known for bullfighting and seedless bansi persimmons) and Miryang, known for its natural tourist attractions. We invite you to venture outside the big city and rent a car to explore the natural glory of Korea, tucked away in the towns of Daegu, Cheongdo, and Miryang.
