 Seoraksan Mountain (설악산) in Inje, Gangwon-do
When it comes to fall foliage, the first mountain that pops into mind is Seoraksan Mountain. A feast for the eyes throughout the year, Seoraksan is even more gorgeous during autumn. There are plenty of hiking trails along the mountainside. The best places to view leaves changing colors are Cheonbuldong Valley (천불동계곡), Osaek Mineral Spring (오색약수터), Osaek Jujeongol (주전골) and Baekdam Valley (백담계곡).

Odaesan Mountain (오대산) in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do
Fall foliage on Odaesan Mountain is nothing short of mesmerizing. A popular destination all year round, the mountain is bustling with campers and guests at House of Nature, especially during the peak foliage season. Jirisan Mountain (지리산) in Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do
One of the most beloved mountains, Jirisan Mountain is rugged in form and impressive in size. During the peak foliage season, the slopes turn ablaze with colors brilliant against the rocks, while Piagol Valley (피아골) and Baemsagol Valley (뱀사골) offer great hiking trails. Also, as Jirisan extends across three provinces (Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do), many choose to go on an overnight trekking in order to fully appreciate the mountain.

Naejangsan Mountain (내장산) in Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do

Juwangsan Mountain (주왕산) in Cheongsong, Gyeongsangbuk-do
