Natural World Heritage Sites

The beautiful volcanic island of Jeju boasts three areas that have been designated Natural Heritage Sites. Mount Hallasan Nature Reserve (한라산천연보호구역), Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (성산일출봉), Geomunoreum Lava Tube System (거문오름용암동굴계) were selected for their unique and scientifically significant features. An astounding 1565 species of plants and 1,179 species of animals call Jeju Island their home.
