Introduction
This hanok was designated as the 185th Important Folk Relic. It embodies all the traditional features of upper-class homes in the southeastern region. The house was built over several hundreds of years. The Anchae (women's quarters) was first established during the 19th regime of the Joseon Dynasty, and the yard located to the north of the open living room was created during the 21st regime of the Joseon Dynasty. Up until the Japanese colonial era, the house offered a great view of Nakdonggang River running along the front of the house, so that one could sail on a boat and recite poems.
