| The Herb Motel is located in the Paldal-gu area of Suwon, Gyeonggi-do. As its name suggest, the refreshing and soft ambience of the motel is reminiscent to that of a herb farm. Guest rooms are divided into standard, semi-VIP and VIP rooms, arranged with the likeness of the herb aroma in mind, adding a warm touch of home. Nearby destinations include the Hwaseong castle, a significant milestone in the history of Korean castles. Hwaseong festival is held every year in this region, during the month of October. |

The status of Suwon was elevated to one of the four fortresses protecting the capital during the reign of King Taejo of the Joseon dynasty. As a defense line for Seoul, four fortresses were built around the city, in the directions of East, West, North and South which includes Gwangju, Ganghwa, Suwon and Gaeseong. Hwaseong Fortress, built in Suwon, was designated a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in light of its historic value.
