Every Monday, but opens National Holidays except January 1st & Traditional New Year's day, Korean Thanksgiving Day ※ If Monday is holiday, Museum shall be opened, and following day will be closed.

Introduction

The Seoul Olympic Museum was established to remember the success and significance of the '88 Olympics. It is located in Olympic Park. When you enter the lobby on the 1st floor, there is a figure called 'Golden Crown' - Baik Nam Jun's Video Art, and the first exhibit hall you meet is the Place of Peace. Here you can learn the origin and history of the Olympics. You can view the 100-year history of the modern Olympics as well. You can learn about the background stories of the games and more about the games themselves. On the 1st floor there is also a special hall for the educaion and temporary exhibition. If you go up to the second floor you can see the glorious moments of Opening ceremony of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games from the Olympic Torch relay, the Bidding Process, and the games themselves, to the Closing ceremony. And you will be able to learn about the world’s reaction to Korea’s Olympics, and meet the Olympic heroes, the mascots of the '88 Olympics, Hodori and Hosuni. You can also enjoy 3D Ride Simulator film on 70mm wide screen. (80 seats avaliable & 20 non motion seats) at the Seoul Olympic Museum. There is a cafeteria on the 2nd floor for relaxation, and beautiful Museum Shop for souvenirs.
