The Lighting Museum, the only one of its kind, is dedicated to the art, culture and history of lighting. The 2-story museum is divided into several different sections: Traditional Lighting Hall, Modern Lighting Hall, Lighting Art Hall, Color & Lighting Experience Hall, and Lighting Art Experience Hall.
Exhibition Hall Information
Lighting History Hall
The hall shows various all-time lighting exhibits including torchlight, oil lamp, beeswax candle, gas lamp, the early invention incandescent lamp by Edison, LED, optical fiber and more.

Lighti Art Gallery
Light and illumination are not a by-product of industry anymore, but an important source of culture and art. Audiences can enjoy various-formed lighting works transformed into arts through light art pieces.

Light Pollution Gallery
We would like to raise a caution of light pollution, and make an opportunity to consider finding light pollution prevention ways. We are trying to spread various eco-friendly light campaigns help people to understand a successful coexistence of man with nature by the light.

Lighting Interactive Zone
You will enjoy characteristic interactive works everywhere in the maze-like exhibition hall.

Light Science Center
This hall provides you to encounter an unfamiliar essence of light which we actually use every day with easy and funny ways.

Lighting Village
The Lighting Village is a space of lighting characters which contains recreated museum's collection for the children's level. Sweet and interesting lighting collection, representing light and illuminations, welcomes you in the space. Please meet Bitdori and Horong-i the mascot of the museum, and also their friends here.

Cross the street, and take Bus 32-1 or 35.
Get off at Yonsei University (연대앞).
Walk to the Seommal Intersection (섬말 교차로), and turn right.
Go 300m to arrive at the Lighting Museum on the left.
