Introduction

Located in Jeonju Hanok Village, Bukyungdang offers seven guest rooms - four rooms in the inner quarters and three rooms in the men’s quarters. Each room was named after a nearby tourist attraction: Gyeonggijeon (a hall), Pungnammun (a gate), Hyanggyo (a Confucian school), Gaeksa (a guest house), Omokdae (a historic site), Hanbyeongnu (a pavilion), and Imokdae (a historic site). The interior of each of the rooms has been designed with special features matching the character of the room, such as lights made with doors from Seokpajeong Villa (a vacation home of Daewongun, a regent during the late Joseon period), sewing machines, one-sided hinged cabinets, straw bag reeds, and earthenware pottery. The house’s facilities include TVs, air-conditioners, toiletries, Wi-Fi and private bathrooms. In addition, Bukyungdang runs programs to cultural experience programs like paper crafts and Injeolmi (a traditional rice cake) making.
