Along with Geumsansa in Gimje-si, Seonunsa is one of the two major temples of Jeollabuk-do region. Every year, many tourists come to visit the temple to enjoy the valued cultural heritage and the beautiful natural surroundings of the temple.
Seonunsa has a temple stay program where you may appreciate the Buddhist culture as well as the quality time of your own. The temple stay consists of such sub-sessions as having a conversation with a monk over a cup of tea, Barugongyang (formal monastic meal), striking a bell, 108 prostrations, Chamseon (Zen meditation), hiking to Dosolam and other programs to experience Buddhist culture while enjoying the camellia flower habitat and other genuine natural beauty of the surroundings.

- Temple Life: every 2nd and 4th weekend of a month

 * Fees (per person)
  - Relaxation type: (2 days 1 night) 40,000 won / (3 days 2 nights) 80,000 won / (4 days 3 nights) 120,000 won
  - Experiential: (2 days 1 night) 60,000 won
  - Temple Stay with themes: contact the office and make inquiry

※ Toiletries, towel, comfortable shoes; socks should be prepared by participants.

From Seoul Central City Bus Terminal (Express Bus Terminal Station, Subway Line 3,7,9), take an intercity bus bound for Gochang.
* Bus schedule: 07:00, 07:40, 08:20, 09:00, 09:50, 10:40, 11:40, 12:30, 13:20, 14:05, 14:55, 15:40, 16:30, 17:20, 18:10, 19:00
From Gochang / Heungdeok Bus Terminal, take a local bus bound for Simwon, Seonunsa(심원, 선운사) and get off at Seonunsa (선운사).
From Gwangju U-Square Bus Terminal, take a direct bus to Seonunsa (선운사).
* Bus schedule: 8:10, 9:20, 13:00, 15:20
