Introduction
Geumsansa, located in Geumsan-ri, Geumsan-myeon, Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, is home to a number of cultural assets. The temple offers a temple stay program where you can learn the traditional culture of Korean Buddhism and the way of a Buddhist practitioner while experiencing day-to-day life in the temple. Basic programs include Yebul (Buddhist service), Chamseon (Zen meditation), Barugongyang (formal monastic meal), 108 prostrations, walking in the woods and talking with a monk. On top of these basic programs, special seasonal programs are also provided.

* Geumsansa Temple Stay is open all year round
* Programs: early morning ceremony, Seon (Zen) meditation, threading 108 prayer beads, forest experience, conversation with a monk

* Seasonal special programs    
 - Experiential programs: Hwajeon Nori (flower pancake folk game), tea-making, making a lotus lantern, rubbing
 - Attending regional festivals (linked to the temple): Gimje Horizon Festival, Jeonju International Film Festival, and International Fermented Food Expo in Jeonju   
 - Programs linked to farm: Temple Stay with Rice Planting/Harvesting (spring season: rice planting / fall season: rice harvesting)

* Fees:
2 days / 1 night
- Adult or Youth over 16: 70,000 won
- Elementary / Middle School Student: 30,000 won (must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- Pre-school student: free  

3 days / 2 nights
- Adult or Youth over 16: 120,000 won
- Elementary / Middle School Student: 50,000 won
- Pre-school Student: free

* Toiletry, rubber shoes (fur shoes in winter), watch, etc. should be prepared by participants.
Uniforms and towels will be provided by the temple and should be returned at the end of the program.

From Seoul Central City Bus Terminal (Express Bus Terminal Station, Subway Line 3,7,9), take an express / intercity bus to Jeonju or Gimje.
From Jeonju Express and Intercity Bus Terminal (Bus Stop is in front of the Labor Hall), take Bus 79 and get off at Geumsan Temple(금산사).
* Bus schedule: 25min intervals

From Gimje Bus Terminal (Bus Stop is in front of the Geumseok Mart), take Bus 5 and get off at Geumsan Temple(금산사).
