| Hataedo Island is one of the three islands in the Taedo-ri area, which is located approximately 70㎞ off the coast of Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do. The southernmost of the three, Hataedo is the main administration island for the area. It has an outstanding beach, and stunning hiking trails with breathtaking views of the Yellow Sea. Occupied by no more than 160 people who make a living from fishing and some tourism, the island is a great stopover between Heuksando and Gageodo Islands. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| There are two main hiking trails, which begin from Hataedo Beach. Please keep in mind that the island map on the information board is upside down with north at the bottom. |

| To Hataedo Island Take a passenger ferry bound for Hataedo Island from Mokpo Port Coastal Terminal. Ferry schedule: 08:00 Estimated travel time: 3 hours One-way fare: 44,000 won Ferry route: Heuksando Island→Sangtaedo Island→Hataedo Island * From Heuksando Island: Boat departure 10:00 / travel time: 1 hour 30 minutes / fare: 14,200 won From Hataedo Island Take a passenger ferry from Hataedo Island to Mokpo Port Coastal Terminal. Ferry schedule: 14:50 * From Gageodo Island: Hataedo→Gageodo 13:00; Gageodo→Heuksando→Mokpo 16:30 ※ The ferry does not berth at a port on Hataedo Island. Instead, it is met by a smaller vessel, and a mid-sea passenger transfer is conducted. ※ Ferry schedule is subject to change, depending on the season and weather conditions. |
