Myeong-dong is a shopper’s paradise. It is home to rows upon rows of shops selling clothing, accessories, cosmetics, eyeglasses, and souvenirs. Two flagship department stores (Lotte and Shinsegae), an army of shopping malls, and plenty of smaller shops show off the latest fashion items year-round. It is the place to go for those shopping for cosmetics, as almost every local and international cosmetic brand has a branch here. Main cosmetic brands include Nature Republic, Aritaum, Todacosa, The Face Shop, and Skinfood. These stores even employ their own skin specialists that can recommend appropriate products based on each customer’s skin type.
