As a main tourist attraction in Sinsa-dong, Dosan Park was built to commemorate Dosan Ahn Chang-ho, who fought for national independence. The nearby Coreana Cosmetics Museum provides visitors a further chance to relax with a glance back into Korea’s cosmetics history, complete with exhibits of cosmetic accessories and ornaments used throughout the ages. For more galleries, take a walk around Sinsa-dong to enjoy some of the many exquisite paintings, ceramics, metal crafts, and modern art on display.
The nearby CGV Movie Theater (in Apgujeong) boasts state-of-the art facilities for movie-goers and has several nice restaurants located on the basement level. Making a reservation is a must to avoid the rush of people at this popular movie theater, especially on the weekends. For classical music enthusiasts, Pungwoldang, a shop dealing exclusively with classical music, is another stop not to be missed if in the Sinsa-dong area.
