KOREA Tourism 680News & Metro Winners Announced!

Toronto, Canada.  October 27th, 2009. – Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has announced the Grand Prize winner for their fall 680News promotion – Mr. Sandor Gabnai out of Toronto.  The initiative was undertaken with Air Canada and Lotte Hotel, with the grand prize being a trip for two to Korea.  The campaign ran in Toronto on 680News between September 7^th and 27^th.  The campaign was very successful with a total of 22,934 entries online. 

The Grand Prize winner of the KTO & METRO NEWS Toronto promotion was Mr. Jason Wells.  The initiative was undertaken with partner airline Air Canada and operator, Tour East Holidays September 23^rd to October 14^th with the grand prize being a trip for two to Korea.

The Gold Prize which was a Samsung 40” LCD HDTV was won by Mr. Tony Barbuto out of Toronto, Canada.  This prize was sponsored by partner Samsung Electronics Canada Inc.

There were four different articles highlighting the different regions and tourist attractions that can be experienced throughout Korea.  This ran in the Toronto editions of METRO every Wednesday in the travel section with entries online over 5,130.

The main focus of both campaigns was to provide exposure to travel packages to and beyond Korea on http://www.visitkorea.ca/.  Travel product developed by over 26 tour operators were very well received by the visitors to the website.  Products included full Korea packages as well as stopover packages.
