|Title||The London Korean Festival fills Trafalgar Square to capacity|
The family event had something for everyone in the form of K-Cuisine,
which offered Korean street foods on both the east and west sides of the
square. Live cooking demonstrations from celebrated chefs Judy Joo of
Jinjuu.com and Joo Won of ‘Galvin at Windows’.
The K-contents zone kept the kids happy with animation screenings,
gaming and technology, whilst dads could enjoy looking at the latest electronic
products from LG and admire a rally car on the Hyundai stand. Mums were not
forgotten either as they could try on a Hanbok (Korea’s national dress) before
watching a fashion show taking place on the main stage.
Everyone, regardless of age would have enjoyed the mix of entertainers
that performed on the main stage under the gaze of Admiral Lord Nelson. Traditional
the renowned National Gugak Centre
played homage to thousands of years of tradition and history and moments later
the Jinjo Crew, Korea’s World
Champion B-boy group showed off their winning break dancing moves in a dance
battle against the UK group the Soul
the biggest roar from the crowd came for K-Pop girl band ‘f(x)’ and rock band
‘Guckkasten’ who enthralled audiences with their sets. Maybe the best way to
see what we mean is to take a look at the aerial photo of the groups performing
in front of an adoring crowd!
