Korean Food
on show at the Korea stand at the Auckland Food Show
Visit the
Korea
stand (371-374) at the Auckland Food Show 30 July – 2 August, 2009
and discover the ‘Wonderful World of Korean Food’. Korea Tourism Organization in
association with Korean Air and major Korean food company Ottugi New Zealand

also win two return air tickets from Auckland to
Seoul along
with other great prizes like Ottugi New Zealand Ltd. food hampers.
Visitors
will be able to try samples of Korea’s national dish, Kimchi (fermented pickled cabbage) and watch Korean
Air’s master chef prepare the airline’s famous
Bibimbap (rice with mixed vegetables and spicy red pepper paste and sesame
oil). Korean Air has won several awards
for their service of bibimbap on their worldwide network and many passengers
enjoy a taste of Korea
even before they arrive in the country.
On the
preview day on Friday 30 July from 2-3pm the Korean Air master chef will do a
special presentation with four or five selected show visitors to teach them how
to make bibimbap. Prizes will be given
for the best prepared bibimbap on the day.
Visitors will be able to try Korean Air’s famous bibimbap
several times daily at the show.
Visitors
to the show over the weekend can also enter the competition to win two return
air tickets from Auckland to Seoul courtesy of Korean Air and Korea
Tourism Organization.
Ottugi
New Zealand Ltd. will be making japche on their stand and visitors can try this
unique noodle dish made with sweet potato noodles. There will also be a fun
competition to see who can eat the noodles the fastest with a pair of
chopsticks. They will also be giving out free samples of Kimchi for visitors to
