KTO Toronto Office participated in the Ottawa Travel & Vacation Show once more

Toronto, Canada on March 20, 2018 - The Korea Tourism Organization Toronto Office participated in the annual Ottawa Travel & Vacation show once again from March 17-18. The KTO Toronto Office staff members aimed to provide the best information available on Korea to the visitors, specifically promoting the fascinating travelling experiences that our beautiful landmarks and exotic culture can offer. Also, the KTO Toronto Office invited Air Canada, Nexus Holidays and US Travel to join the Korea Booth in order to facilitate a better understanding on Korea as an ideal tourist destination among visitors.

The Korea Booth offered not only conventional wisdom through the tourist guidebooks and maps but also a new way of experiencing the tourist attractions through the virtual reality (VR) headsets. The VR headsets were equipped with 360-degree destination videos on popular destinations such as Seoul, Busan, Jeju Island, and even a virtual ski jumping experience at the Alpensia Resort. Many visitors claimed that they were trying the VR headsets for the first time! The visitors seemed to have gained a new found interest in Korea and went on to praise Korea's technological advancements. Moreover, visitors were welcomed with Red Ginseng candies and even had a chance to win the mascot dolls Soohorang & Bandabi, the offical mascots of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic & Paralympic Games. For those visitors who visited the Korea Booth with a booked ticket to Korea [departing within couple months] were even met with a special surprise gifts which included the "Discover Seoul Pass (24hr)."

On Saturday, KTO Toronto Office provied a  detailed presentation for FIT travelers as well as information on direct flights departing from Canada to Korea by Air Canada. The visitors were offered to participate in the on-site raffle event for a chance to win Korean cosmetic products and the Olympic mascot dolls.

On Sunday, Chef Sunna Na from The Swan at Carp prepared Bulgogi and Kimchi for the visitors. The Cooking Show was successfully held, attracting many visitors to the KTO booth. Many visitors showed great interest in Korean cuisine and culture. Many commented that they've always felt the special need to visit Korea after watching the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games, but after trying such delicious cuisine, it leaves them with no choice but to book a trip to Korea soon!
