100 UNTACT ATTRACTIONS IN SOUTH KOREA
‘Where to avoid the crowds and enjoy South Korea’s lesser-known natural offerings’
When travel resumes, we’ll all be looking to travelling differently, for some that will be avoiding the crowds, being out in wide open spaces and exploring the natural environment and for most, hygiene and safety will remain the priority. With that in mind, Korea Tourism Organization has put together a list of 100 Untact Attractions in South Korea to help visitors plan a trip that ticks all the boxes.
The concept of ‘untact’ is a decrease in person-to-person interaction. The idea is to be able to travel safely in less crowded attractions as well as having a healing experience in nature. South Korea has a large number of national parks and each one varies dramatically by season – the autumnal leaves or the cherry blossoms are well worth a visit. Discover quiet walking paths, healing forests or cycling trails in beautiful parts of the country. There are many smaller lesser-known islands to explore as well.
The selection criterion for the 100 Untact Attractions included – must be lesser known, have themed attractions for solo travellers and families alike, be outdoors and can only accept a limited number of visitors in order to practice social distancing.
