Remnants of the past from 500 years ago, Joseon Dynasty’s Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace are welcoming visitors to special evening admissions. Evening admission to these prestigious palaces will be available on the third and fourth week of each month from April 28 to November 3.

The palaces’ evening admission is popular even among local Koreans as the tranquil evening atmosphere gives off a different feeling from that of during the day.

Evening admission is available from 19:00 to 21:30; admission hours will change to 19:30 to 22:00 in June, July, and August when the sun becomes longer.

For evening admissions, a separate ticket will be required, which will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis; tickets will be also required for visitors in hanbok as the free admission will not be available in the evening. In case the evening tickets to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace get sold out, visitors can visit Deoksugung Palace instead as it will be open for evening admissions as well.

Take note that due to the opening ceremony of Royal Culture Festival at Gyeongbokgung Palace, only Changgyeonggung Palace will be available for evening admission on April 28, the first day of the event. Evening admission will also be restricted from August 5 to September 15.
