[Korea] 2009 Asia Song Festival: Starring Your Favorite Groups
Festival de Música Pop Asiática 2009 (Asia Song Festival)

The annual Asia Song Festival is probably the biggest event on the calendars of Asian pop music. This year it will take place on September 19 at the Sang-am World Cup Stadium in Seoul. Now in its 6th year, the Asia Song Festival has grown to be the largest music festival in Asia, enhancing cultural exchanges between Asian countries. In 2008, top stars from 22 groups representing 12 countries put on a fabulous show.
 

This year also features a dazzling line-up, 14 groups 9 countries are scheduled to appear, including groups from Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Thailand. The star-packed show is sure to have fans in a fever of excitement.
 

Korea will be represented by some of its most famous groups: 13-member Super Junior, popular female group Girls Generation (known for their album Gee), mega hip hop stars Big Bang, and 2NE1, a new band who are already top of the charts. From Japan, popular solo artist Gackt and mixed duo Mihimaru GT will make an appearance. Also scheduled to perform are Chris Lee, famed Chinese pop singer, and Show Luo, a popular Taiwanese singer.
 

You can attend the Asian Song Festival for free! All you need to do is apply for and download a free ticket coupon through the festival’s official site www.asf.or.kr. The first round of ticket coupon downloads opened on August 21, 2009, and each coupon can be exchanged for 2 tickets at the box office on the day of the event.
