[Korea] 7th Seoul Open Night from Aug 29–30

Photo credit: Seoul Open Night Organizing Committee

Following last year’s success, the Seoul Open Night returns once again to turn the city of Seoul into an exciting visual arts festival from August 29 to 30, 2014. The venues include City Hall (Seoul Plaza), Cheonggyecheon Stream & Cheonggye Plaza and several other locations in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

During the festival, museums, galleries and other culture and art facilities will stay open until the evening hours. Each area will also be holding their own programs and performances such as concerts and culture markets.

This year, Unhyeongung Royal Residence will be having a special event on August 29 from 6pm until 9 pm (onsite registration only). Visitors can take part in a traditional tea ceremony and watch traditional performances such as a changgeuk (traditional Korean opera), ‘Ran (orchid)’ and the pansori performance “Hwairak”.
