For the months of July and August, Unhyeongung Royal Residence will extend its opening hours on Fridays for the summer evening concerts, which will be taking place from 7pm to 9pm.
Except for Norakdang Hall, all the other areas inside Unhyeongung will be open for viewing during the Friday evening concerts. The concerts will be held at Irodang Hall and will feature a changgeuk (traditional Korean opera) performance which tells the story of Emperor Gojong (1852~1919) and Empress Myeongseong (1851~1895). There will also be performances featuring traditional Korean instruments such as the geomungo, gayageum and taepyongso.
Admission to Unhyeongung Royal Residence and the performances are free of charge.
