WAPOP (a compound word of “World & Asia” and “WOW POP”), a weekly concert featuring K-Pop and K-Dramas, has been temporarily put on hold as the country mourns the latest tragedy.
The concerts are held every Saturday at 7 p.m. at WAPOP Hall, which is located in Children’s Grand Park. However, the show that was scheduled for April 19 was cancelled following the sinking of the Sewol on April 16.
The first of its kind in Korea, WAPOP regularly stages Hallyu cultural concerts with live performances of K-Pop music and K-Drama scenes popular among international fans visiting Korea. Updates regarding future performances will be announced on the official website.
