It’s that time of year again for the Uljin Snow Crab Festival, which is scheduled to kick off on February 28 and run until March 2 at the Uljin Hupohang Port’s Hanmaeum Plaza in Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
If you are a foodie, or just a seafood lover, the Uljin Snow Crab Festival is hard to beat. When you are not eating fresh crab, you can try some of the many hands-on programs offered at the festival like writing wishes on crab shells, making bibimbap or a gigantic gimbap with snow crab meat, catching snow crabs, attending cooking and tasting contests and so much more!
Other side activities that will take place include a large inflatable trampoline to jump on, writing your family motto, and fishing. You can also purchase good quality crabs at lower prices from local specialty stores and auctions. Best of all, admission to the festival is free of charge!
