[Korea] Renovated Sea Train Travels along the Coast Again

The Sea Train, a tourist train that runs along Korea’s beautiful East Coast, started operating again on January 4, 2014 after undergoing renovations. The train travels over 58km and gives passengers a panoramic view of the sea.

An additional passenger car has been added to the existing three-car train to accommodate families. The Sea Train is now composed of four cars: the first is for individual travelers, the second is for couples, the third is for families, and the fourth is for groups. The train is also equipped with a small café offering snacks and a gift shop selling Gangneung’s local specialties and Sea Train souvenirs.

Tickets for the Sea Train can be purchased from Gangneung Station, Jeongdongjin Station, Donghae Station and Samcheok Station.
