The Gongju National Museum will be holding its ‘Seollal & Daeboreum Traditional Cultural Event’ from January 28 to March 2, 2014 to welcome the Lunar New Year.
Visitors can play Korean folk games such as jegichagi (jegi kicking) and gulleongsoenori (hoop rolling with a stick), and watch samulnori (traditional percussion quartet) daily during the duration of the event (excluding Mondays). In addition, the museum also offers various programs such as tteokmechigi (pounding rice with a mallet to make Korean rice cakes), and writing an ipchuncheop (a handwritten letter with good wishes for spring).
All programs are free of charge. Visit the official website of the Gongju National Museum for details.
