▲Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street, recently added on the list of Korean Food-Themed Streets
The Korea Tourism Organization recently added three more places to their list of Korean Food-Themed Streets. The new additions are Yeongdeok Snow Crab Street, Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street and Damyang Juksun Food Village.
Last year, the Korea Tourism Organization started promoting Korea’s food tourism by selecting five food-themed streets—Sindangdong Tteokbokki Town, Chodang Tofu Street, Anjirang Offal Town, Namwon Chueotang Street, and Busan Millak Hoe (raw fish) Street—and printing their menus in foreign languages. To create more awareness, they were also advertised through various social media channels.
These eight Korean food-themed streets have already gained domestic tourists’ approval in terms of taste, service and popularity. Foreign visitors looking for a memorable dining experience in Korea will be able to sample the local cuisine at one of these food-themed streets.
