Cheongsong Apple Festival 2013 kicked off on November 8 and will run until November 11. The festival is currently taking place at areas around Cheongsong Apple Park in Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The festival, now in its 9th year, is centered on Cheongsong’s local specialty – Cheongsong apples. Apples cultivated in the Cheongsong region are famous for their sweet taste and high nutritional value. Visitors to the festival can sample high quality Cheongsong apples and purchase them at a low price at the venue. Moreover, a variety of events such as exhibits, performances, contests and hands-on activities await local and international visitors.
At this time of the year, the autumn leaves at Juwangsan National Park are at their peak. Hence, those going to Cheonsong can enjoy both the apple festival and the autumn colors in one trip.
