[Korea] Gwangju World Kimchi Culture Festival 2013 starts Oct 5!

The Gwangju World Kimchi Culture Festival 2013 will take place at the Jungoe Park Culture Belt area in Buk-gu, Gwangju-si from October 5 to 9, 2013.

Marking its 20th year, this year’s festival has organized a total of 54 programs including exhibits, contests, performances, and hands-on activities to promote Korea’s kimchi industry. Major programs such as those communicating the vision for globalizing kimchi will be held at the Kimchi Design Industry Hall while the Kimchi Five Sense Experience Hall appeals to the senses by letting visitors experience different types of kimchi.

Visitors can also take this opportunity to get answers to their kimchi-related questions. Admission to the festival is free of charge.
