Starting September 12, 2013, the Seoul Metropolitan Government will start the full operation of its Seoul Night Bus (also called Owl Bus) services.

The Owl Bus, an intra-city bus serving late-night commuters, will be running from midnight to 5 a.m. Due to the high popularity of the two pilot bus routes that operated on a trial run during the past three months, seven more lines have been added to the service, making it nine routes in total. The routes were determined by looking into which places have a heavy concentration of people during late-night hours in Gangnam, Hongdae, Dongdaemun Gate, Sillim and Jongno.

The letter “N” in the bus number, along with the owl character placed on the bus’ LED panel, distinguishes the Owl Bus from ordinary buses. This image of an owl operating the bus will also be placed at bus stops serviced by the Owl Bus. The bus fare for those using cash is 1,950 for adults, 1,800 won for teens and 1,200 won for kids. For further inquiries, please contact the 120 Dasan Call Center.
