[Korea] Mulle Arts Festival starts Aug 21

The Mulle Arts Festival 2013 will take place at Mullae Art Factory in Yeongdeungpo-gu Seoul-si, from August 21 to 25.

Marking its 7th year, this enjoyable arts festival will be having a variety of themed exhibits, performances and events. The festival not only serves as a place for special art works to be displayed, but also as a venue for artists and audiences to come together and interact. The festival will feature several art forms such as plays, dance, media arts, street performances and more. The opening and closing performances are highly recommended for those attending the festival.

Visitors can enjoy the exhibits and performances for free except for those held at the Box Theater (Mullae Art Factory, 2nd floor). Admission to Box Theater performances is 10,000 won.

•Mullae Art Factory
Mullae-dong is the name of a neighborhood in Seoul where iron factories were clustered during the 1970s. These factories gradually disappeared due to industry development. In the 2000s, many artists moved to this area because of the lower rent, thus turning it into an art village.
