[Korea] Scenes from Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil after the rain

It is monsoon season in the Korean Peninsula and Seoul has been experiencing exceptional rainfall. When the rain stops, sweltering heat kicks in for several days. But even such hot and humid weather will not stop people from enjoying one of the trendiest places in Korea. Garosu-gil, a mecca for Korea’s trendsetters, is always full of people shopping in trendy shops or dining at stylish restaurants.

Shops in Garosu-gil and Saerosu-gil displaying cute rain boots and umbrellas attract a lot of attention from passers-by.

Even if the rain comes and goes, one can still see people busily shopping on the streets or enjoying a cup of coffee and fun conversation with friends on an outdoor patio

One of summer’s pleasures is being able to enjoy cold summer treats such as bingsu (shaved ice with various toppings) or sweet desserts at unique cafés.

Once the rainy season ends, it is expected that more people will be making their way over to Garosu-gil this summer.
