[Korea] Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival 2013 to open July 18

The Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival 2013, Korea’s leading fantastic genre film festival, will take place in the Wonmi-gu area of Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do from July 18 to 28.

Marking its 17th year, this year’s festival will showcase 229 films from 44 countries under the theme of “Love, Fantasy and Adventure”. Films with a unique style and imaginative format will surely be a feast for the eyes for young movie enthusiasts. Some remarkable movies at this year’s festival include “Gold” (Germany/Canada), “Halley” (Mexico/Netherland), “Ugly” (India), “Southern Superhero Showdown” (Korea), and “Milo” (US).

In addition, there will be free events such as parades, outdoor movie screenings, and exhibits all throughout the festival period. Tickets for general screening can be booked online until July 15 (Mon) 18:00. Admission is 6,000 won.

* Fantastic genre film festival – a film festival dedicated to introducing the “fantastic” film genre, particularly horror, thriller, fantasy, science fiction, and romance films.
