The Gyeonggi Hwaseong World Dinosaur Festival 2013 began on May 3 and will be running for 52 days until June 23 at areas around Eunjang Hill in Mado-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The fairground is divided into four huge halls, each operating under a different theme: “Real Dinosaurs Hall” with dinosaur fossils excavated from all over the world; “Dinosaur Skeletons Hall” with life-size dinosaur skeletons; “Robot Dinosaurs Hall”, displaying mechanical dinosaurs with moving parts; and an “Insectarium” featuring rare insects. Various minerals and fossils of extinct marine animals are also on exhibit. There are also art shows and a dinosaur-related 3D image presentation for visitors to enjoy.
At the festival, visitors can see a variety of extinct creatures and dinosaurs that existed on earth 100 million years ago all in one venue. Admission is 15,000 won for adults, 12,000 won for teens and 10,000 won for kids.
