In celebration of the “2013 Visit Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) Year,” the following is a list of the top tourist attractions in Gyeongsangnam-do Province compiled by the Korea Tourism Organization and CNN Travel (formerly CNNGo).
Gyeongsangnam-do Province is a coastal province located in the country’s southern region and is well known by local and international tourists for its lush scenery and unique festivals. A closer look at the two organizations’ top travel destinations in Korea reveals that ten of KTO’s “99 Must-Visit Tourist Attractions” and nine of CNN Travel’s “50 Beautiful Places to Visit in Korea” are located in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. Four attractions in the region were selected by both KTO and CNN Travel: Haeinsa Temple, Upo Marsh in Changnyeong, Jirisan National Park, and Jinjuseong Fortress.
Mountains, beaches, scenic roads and some of Korea’s top festivals are included on the list of selected tourist attractions by KTO and CNN Travel. Gyeongsangnam-do Province comes highly recommended for all vacationers planning a spring getaway.
