The Korea Tourism Organization resumed its online travel education program on March 15 after an update in content and information. The program is available in five languages (English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian) and can be found on the VisitKorea website (visitkorea.or.kr).
The Online Korea Travel Education Program provides a variety of information related to tourism in Korea ranging from basic information on Korea to detailed information on popular festivals. Upon reading through all the program’s information and completion of a test, participants can receive an online certificate.
The updated content includes information regarding popular upcoming tourist attractions for 2013 such as the International Garden Exposition Suncheon Bay Korea 2013 (순천만 국제정원박람회 2013), 2013 World Traditional Medicine Fair & Festival (산청세계전통의약엑스포), and ‘2013 Visit Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) Year’. Further additions to the program include information regarding some regions of Korea such as Gyeonggi-do and Ulsan, the ‘VisitKorea 2.0’ mobile application, which provides easy access to Korea tourism information, and ‘My Korean Travel Story,’ an online platform for tourists to exchange their travel stories.
There will be a prize drawing to reward participants who received the certificate from the online travel education program.
