[Korea] Travel Smart with these Sidewalk QR Codes

Gangnam-gu recently placed QR codes on the sidewalks for the first time in Korea. These QR codes contain tourist information about major tourist attractions in the Gangnam area.

The QR Code is 60cm in width and length and can be found in 8 places around Sinsadong Garosu-gil Road and COEX. By simply scanning the QR Code with a smartphone, one can find information on nearby tourist sites. For this, Gangnam-gu transformed printed tourism promotional materials such as tourism brochures of Gangnamgu, Garosu-gil, and COEX into mobile contents and created mobile pages with them.

Using the QR codes is quick and easy. Simply scan with the code-scanning app on your phone and you will automatically get information about nearby tourist destinations such as directions, shopping areas, and restaurants locations in English, Japanese, or Chinese.
