‘The Boseong Green Tea Plantation Light Festival’ is a major winter festival in the southern region of Korea that will take place from December 14th through January 27th next year at Botjaedawon in Hoecheon-myeon Boseong-bun, Jeollanam-do Province.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the festival features a large season’s greeting card (200mx300m), giant Christmas tree, wishing tower, light tunnel, and mobiles in various types and colors under the theme ‘A Story of Hope Spread by Lights.’ With all the sculptures and lights of various sizes, the green tea plantation will transform into a gigantic village of light!
Also, an exhibition displaying the history of ‘The Boseong Green Tea Plantation Light Festival’ and some interesting events such as ‘Christmas tree making’ and ‘making a wish card’ will take place.
Anyone visiting the plantation during the festival period between 6PM and midnight can enjoy the festival for free.
