Sejongno Avenue, the street connecting Gwanghwamun Gate and Sejongno 4-way Intersection in the heart of Seoul, will be blocked off on November 18th for a pedestrian-only event for the second time this year. The first of the event series took place on September 23rd.

The ‘Sejongno Pedestrian-Only Street Event’ will present a number of exciting programs, including Korean traditional market selling food products and local specialties, as well as foreigners’ flea market selling various goods. There will also be a series of performances and participatory programs for all to enjoy.

Several traffic safety measures will be undertaken in order to accommodate the event. Police officers and safety personnel will be placed at nearby intersections and major crosswalks to control and disperse traffic. The buses that usually pass through the Sejongno will be redirected to use bypass roads. Accordingly, visitors to the event or the area are highly recommended to take the subway (Gwanghwamun Station, Subway Line 5 or Gyeongbokgung Station, Subway Line 3).
