Korea’s major food festival, the annual Gwangju World Kimchi Culture Festival, will run on October 13th through 17th at Jungoe Park.
Marking its 19th year, the festival will present a wide range of programs related to kimchi. The main highlights of the festival will be the ‘Five Senses Kimchi Museum’ exhibition and kimchi making. Other major programs will feature a kimchi character dolls parade, kimchi hangari (jar/container) painting, kimchi chocolate making, as well as performances including a juggling-and-mime show, and traditional play.
Admission to the festival is free.
